Back to School, Off to College, and TPT sale!

Well, we are back to school, and I am T-I-R-E-D!!!!

We started back on the 9th, spent 3 days last week benchmark testing, and are DIBELS testing this week. I am so ready for some normalcy!  I have 2 very sweet classes!  They are all so cute and eager to learn.  Hopefully we will get into our regular routine next week!  i will have a student teacher again, but for only 1/2 of the semester.  I'm looking forward to meeting her Wednesday.

I cleaned out my TPT wish list yesterday and today!  I bought lots of goodies that I can't wait to use in my classroom.  If you haven't done so, you can still get in on the sale.  Just remember to use the code BTS13 for an extra 10% off!

On another note....my daughter moves into her dorm Thursday!! :(  So, so sad!  She's our only child, and the center of our universe, and on Thursday she will reside in a dorm at LSU.  As sad as I am that she's moving out, I'm looking forward to sharing this new chapter in her life.

As we were preparing for her upcoming semester, we began the search for books.  Let me just tell you....college textbooks are EXPENSIVE!  Of course, we were looking to rent if possible.  She had several books that were apparently specific to LSU, because they couldn't be found online other than the LSU bookstore.  However, the ones that were available to rent online, were substantially cheaper than getting them through LSU.  The best price I found was at Campus Book Rentals.  We ordered her books and saved $111.00 versus renting/purchasing from LSU.  They also have a service that allows you to rent your textbooks to others.  We will definitely be checking that out!

I will be sporting my new shirt next Monday in honor of her first day--I know, I know---It's a little much, but she's my baby, and we couldn't be prouder that she chose LSU.

Now, I must make some lesson plan adjustments as I watch Under the Dome (love that show!).

Hi Lisa,

I'd like to start by saying that your blog looks great. My name is Martin and I'm a teacher from Canada. We are new and are looking for people to join and put up their materials for sale on our website. We are having an iPad draw for the first 100 Vendors who join and upload at least 1 lesson /resource for sale on our website. There are absolutely no fees to join and you earn royalties of 70%. You can visit us at:http://www.resources4teaching.com
